Creative Writing Camp

In this class children in grades 2-6 will discover their own style and voice as they explore a variety of writing forms and self-expression with new friends. They will write in a daily journal, work on a piece of their choice in a workshop environment, learn to give and receive constructive criticism, receive direct instruction using literature and poetry as models, and have the opportunity to illustrate their work. On the last day of class, participants will choose a piece to read to family and friends at the Authors’ Tea. Cost $50, $5 for materials (or bring a journal, pens, pencils, special paper, and desired art supplies).
February 19-23,  Instructor: Dena Davis, 10:00am-12:00pm
